Lately as I am getting on the freeway my car doesnt seem to boost as hard (even though the gauge still reads 1.2 bar) and the check engine light comes on for about 3 seconds then goes off. Then a couple minutes later it'll come back on for a few seconds and then it stops. Anyone know what's going on? How can I pull the code?

To check fault codes put a 10 amp fuse in the fuel pump relay, wait 4 seconds and the go watch the dash light flash...
There's a good writeup on SJMautotechnik.com about how to do this...
Possible culprits include knock sensor, IAT sensor, low octane gas, timing off, etc...
