Clutch pedal is halfway pressed

Clutch pedal is halfway pressed
Hello,
I recently purchased a used Audi 200 Quattro Turbo, last week actually.
I put in almost 300 miles due to extensive commuting plus went out of town this past weekend.
Last time I drove it was this past Sunday night and yesterday I worked from home. This morning, I noticed that my cluthc pedal was not aligned with my brake pedal and it was actually halfway down.
I attempted to pull it back up with the tip of my shoes--thinking maybe it was frozen because of the frigid weather--but after stepping on it, it goes back to the halfway point.
I drove it around to see if the cluth is working...didnt drive it far but the clutch was actually a short press between gears. What could possibly make the clutch pedal become this way?
I am about to go home to see if the pedal is still in that state as this morning. Last time I drove it--and recall the clutch pedal being fully extended out...aligned with the brake pedal.
Any help or insight on what I should do would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Clutch pedal is halfway pressed
If it pops back to normal position with a little encouragement from your toe, it may be a worn bushing where the pedal pivots or a tired spring.

Re: Clutch pedal is halfway pressed
Thanks to everyone for replying to my post.
This evening, I returned home from work and saw that the clutch pedal is back to its normal self--meaning it is not halfway pressed and aligned with the brake pedal.
What does this mean? Do I still need to bleed the line?
How much will it cost me to bleed the line? How much for a master/slave or new clutch?
Thanks in advance for your input.

Re: Clutch pedal is halfway pressed
Actually, I did try to pop it back up yesterday morning but after pressing the clutch pedal down it stayed halfway down.
Last night, after work, I saw that it popped itself back up to normal position.
Would it still mean that I have a worn bushing or tired spring?
Just wondering if the cold weather had anything to do with this?
