clutch slave bleed
OK guys, the clutch and tranny are in, Im finishing up the last of the steps. Thanks to all that offered advice on the project so far, both in the forums and privately
But of course, the main reason I dreaded opening the pressure line to the slave is what brings me here...
Im having no success yet getting the slave bled, so far I havent tried anything fancy, drawing vacuum on it and pumping etc. I ordered a pressure bleeder but I doubt it will get here in time for Park City next weekend so I must come up with another way.
Any tricks of the trade that y'all wanna share?
Thanks
Sean

Re: clutch slave bleed
When I was doing the clutch slave in my car, I broke the CHS resevoir bottle (one of the nipples). So I went to the junkyard and got another one, with cap and all. I took the cap, removed the float and switch, and forced a piece of 1/2" rubber hose through the hole in the cap. In the other end of the hose I inserted a pneumatic tool quick coupler. If you have a compressor you can just attach a line from the tank (turn down the regulator to 10 psi!!!) or do like I did and attach a hose from a pump to the quick coupler. Keep an eye on your fluid level and go slow. Pressurize, open the bleeder, wait for it to stop making noise, close bleeder, check fluid, repeat. It will take a while for the pedal to firm up.

I've recently tried this easy method. Works great.
Pressure bleed FROM the slave cylinder:<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/v8/msgs/54304.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/v8/msgs/54304.phtml</a</li></ul>
