Default It isn't hard, but requires an engine hoist to lift the engine up...

The driver side was a PITA on the 5kq.

We did them on a lift with a "tall boy" transmission jack. But on the ground with good jacks and an engine hoist works too. Air impact gun is a "must".

Default Def. not a 1 person job....If you can watch them do it, you'll see what all is involved.

The proceedure is straigt forward, but the execution is the hard part.

Default Broken Motor Mounts, 4k clutch drops......Hand in hand

I'm glad i am not the only one that beat the hell out of my car. I aggree with Koop, its a two person deal and a PITA. In anycase, on thing you might consider is if your yankin the trany for the clutch, you may want to pull the motor off and do the motor mounts that way. Ive done it both ways, and personally, pulling the motor is easier IMO. Buy a header off Javad(O34efi), and give yourself a real reason to yank the engine.
Cheers
Hank

Default I did mine by myself without an engine hoist

you have to jack up the engine from underneath...I used a jack on the oil pan, but first made sure to put a board inbetween to spread out the force, otherwise you'll put a hole in the oil pan. the driver's side engine mount is no problem at all...the pass side is a bit more challenging. I had a great deal of difficulty getting the good mount back in there and actually had the engine hoisted from underneat and had 3 people standing on the hood of the car to get enough clearance in between the engine and the frame of the car...but it did finally go in.

not a fun job. Good luck
