I think I should of got the stroker crank instead of a stock one.
All though I've heard that a longer stroke slows down engine spin up. I guess I wouldnt mind that at times, because I find myself letting the engine bounce off the rev limiter to often some times. The car just start ripping at the pavement and smokes the front tires. I've laid about a 20ft patch before not really trying. After owning a few turbo 10valves, I really miss their sound. The 20vt is almost as good in sound but the the shear amount of power it produces impresses me everyday, it's like having a massive DC electric motor that with every rpm until red line makes more and more thrust. Its great, I wish my daily commute wasnt 3 miles, not going over 35, of boston roads. Maybe they even shouldn't be called roads here, just crap, construction trash, leftovers from the boston tea party, smoothed by a roller with more lumps and divits than Rosie O'Donnell's *** during feeding season.

Nah, spin up isn't a problem.
I have to let up, or I find I am laying rubber in first and second, and third if I really try.
I've got a 92.8mm stroke, and it suits me just fine.

Dont forget..
when dealing with a stroker motor you also want a full circle (perfectly ballanced) crank shaft. btw a full circle straker will rev faster that a stock crank. But a spending that kind moola is an issue atleast get a counter ballanced crank. Will rev about the same as now just with more power.

I havent looked into how much a quattro conversion will cost (yes I do know that awd was new for audi in 83). I am guessing I will put 20 k or so into this car before its done. (haha we al know it always cost more that you think). I will keep you all updated on my progress. As for now I am sanding the paint job and doing prep for custom paint. I will be getting my 2.3 core in a few months after I get moved down to Phoenix.

Yes they always do cost more than you plan.
And yes, $7k for a motor is a good start. You can spend quite a lot more than that. It just depends on how crazy you want to get. Right now, I'm a pretty well certified nut case. The last rebuild on my motor cost $4k, just for the rebuild.
Once you open your wallet, you'll begin to see why WRC cars cost upwards of $250K+ to build.
