Default Got scammed by Ebayer

I bought a headlight from Gene Audi Parts in TN, and it came to me yesterday after more than a month waiting, and some excuses.

The headlight was a shattered unusable one.

What can I do ? They were clever enough to delay the shipment. They should have just not shipped at all ... Sigh ...

Feedback is the only thing you have to go by (use it). I'm on my 30th purchase. Four of the purchases were bad items. I didn't tell them I would leave negative feedback but I told them why I was disapointed & that I would leave no feedback. Two of them asked if they I could send the item back & they would refund the money (suprise), which they did, then I left positive feedback as if I actually had a good purchase. The other two...no response...no feedback. My good purchases include...98 S-10 Pickup & some other not so small items.

Default Shattered as in broken in transit? Or shattered as in "let me throw a junky one in a box "?

If broken in transit, you can file a claim with the shipper.

If he sent you a know broken one, I would not hesitate to contact him and demand what you paid for (and put a time limit on it, say two weeks). If you aren't satisfied, I wouldn't hesitate a second to give him/her/it bad feedback.

Just tell him what you will do and offer him time to correct the problem if it was an honest mistake.

Another option is that ebay has a system in place when you can report them to ebay and they will help and kick them off of ebay. I've had to use it a time or 2 to get payment or refunds for bad items.

Steve,

I am reporting these guys to as many places as I can.

They wanted me to pay $12 for shipping. I thought it was a bit too high. But I told them I will pay that, but please package this well, because I feel I paid quite a bit for shipping.

It's passed 30 days, and I can't do anything. These people are so smart. They intentionally delay with all sort of excuses.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=6755& amp;item=2408373688</a

I dont remember the exact procediure as I havent had to use it in a while. What I usualy would do is use the ebay help system to kinda walk me thought it. If you dont know there are tons of service that ebay offers that the only way I know to access them is in the help system. I am lookinf through it right now so If I find what you need I will post it asap.

Default How did it get shipped to you?

If it was UPS, they have a base $100 insurance built into the cost of shipment.

But if he sent it USPS and you didn't get insurance, well, then I think you might want to get the insurance next time.
