Help ('87 5kcs TQW)
Hi
Need help. Still can't figure it out the problem with warm start. It seems to me that both fuel pump and check valve is ok (I replace the check valve not so long ago), I can't find any evidence of injectors leak (may be I just don't know how?). The one thing that keeps bother me - it's fuel pressure problems. How can I check if fuel pressure regulator works ok and where is it in the car? What will be other suggestions?
Thanks

Things that will cause hot start problems:
1. Check valve: you've confirmed yours is good.
2. Leaking Injectors: you will have to check each one.
3. Ignition Reference Sensor: magnetic sensor that doesn't age well to heat cycling. A bad one will cause hot start problems until it cools down. It is located next to the engine speed sensor on the drivers side engine block near the tranny.

Re: fuel pressure regulater is in the fuel distributer
Pull the DTC codes when the car is having a problem starting (crank for at least 15 seconds). This will tell you if the crank position sensor or hall sensor is having problems.

Re: fuel pressure regulater is in the fuel distributer
Well, I pulled out DTC codes when the car is having the problem and also when everithing is ok - all codes say that everithing is just fine - absolutely no errors. But I think I found some leakage where fuel supply line goes into the control pressure regulator. Might it be a problem (loss of fuel pressure)? How can I fix it? Where can I get this gaskets (washers)?
