Sorry, not much Audi content-just a lot of Audi inspiration. I know the title got you looking. Son drives the FJ40 home tonight from soccer practice and says its backfiring whenever he hops on it. Pull the cleaner. No backfire, terrible knock from #1. Pull the plugs-all fluffy and tan except #1-clean, dry, and black. Push rod eaten at the top. It's late. The 5000 is still down for a radiator. The 5000? Five cylinders. Hmmm? So I pull the pushrods on #1 and put it all back together. Runs better now than in the last nine years. We'll see what the mileage does and hope it holds together until deer season ends.
