Instrument cluster

UK car. there are a couple of switch cluster on the rear of the cluster. What are they setting, and more importantly, what should they be set to?

One changes the fuel guage calabration. the other changes the word "Brake Light" to the symbol for the brake light in the autocheck.

In volume 4 of the manual 90-80-1.

In my US spec cluster (that I just swapped in place of my fully functional Euro cluster,) neither of the center LCD screens function. The lower one is backlit, but has no numbers showing. Anyone know where to start on this?
