Lower IC hose - One piece vs. 3 piece?
I've got a problem with my "michelin man", I've replaced it with a plumping department special but I've still got a bit of a leak which is causing unenjoyable cutoffs from the ECU!
I see on ETKA there are 2 different setups available for the lower hose. The 3 piece with the michelin man and the plastic/foam accumulator type deal (which is already on my car), or the one piece.
Which one of the two setups is better for high boost?

IMO, the one piece is better.
fewer clamps, fewer diameter changes, no foam to get dislodged from the plastic portion.
I also have the 3-piece, and I can see some cracking around the rubber MM-like portion.

Aftermarket availability?
Are there any aftermarket one piece models available? I just got a hard-to-swallow price from the dealer for the part (034 145 746F)...

Another thought:
After having modified my TB for the EFI fuel rail (believe me it was nothing I wanted to do) You might want to give that a try.
The inside of the teardrop TB has a small ring, (or a "ledge" <--- as I call it) about an inch from where the TB opens. you can stick a round piece of pipe in there without disturbing anything else, and then use the metal/aluminum glue to hold it in.
Its worked very well for me, was very simple, and the most attractive part is that there's a million hoses that will fit. (no teardrop)
The only thing you'd need to check is the bottom hole inside the TB. I plugged mine and hooked the wastegate up to manifold vauum and it worked fine... Think yours would work the same?
...Just another option, something to think about.
