Default Makeshift fix for the day . .

So as I was walking through the hardware store I saw a bin of different sized snap bushings and instantly thought "Those would fit my door panel as lock button bushings!"

Five minutes, some quick measuring and 62 cents later I was installing one in my driver's door panel - fits perfect! No more rattle from my driver's side lock button!

How funny to read this. My drivers door lock button also rattles in it's opening. My door pannel is on very tight with all the proper "push nut/tabs" screws etc from Audi but that door button annoys me. I've unscrewed it and put it back on to no avail. Mine rattles against the washer that's in there from Audi. Go figure

Mine was rattling too. The stock lock button bushing was disintegrating, and only half-there. This one is a little tighter, and is not rattling so far.

Default Higgins

Ya know I call mine "Audicakes" but in the rare event that I talk cars at a social get together (aka bar) when my car comes up I always point out that Higgins on Magnum PI drove an Audi 5000 and then of course everyone who knows me just rolls their eyes. ha ha

Sweet! A buddy of mine named him. I didn't believe that Higgins drove a Type43, so I made him prove it. A quick jaunt on YouTube proved it, and the name stuck!
