Default I agree with Scott^^^^^^^^^^^ if you want big brakes this is what you do.....

....Rs2 caliper brackets, 993tt 928GTS calipers, D2 A8 323x30 rotors. Custom lines, & your choice of pads & fluid.

Cheerio ;-)

Default Dealing with BIRA is like watching the seasons change. They had a use before you could interchange

strut mounts on the 100 and 200 cars before the G-60 switchout and for guys that wanted BBK's, but I just went through this last summer. There are alternatives available without having to wait for five other guys who want to do a group purchase for a particular cars brake brackets.
Like itsav8 said get some UrS strut carriers that don't use the UFO claaipers. Keep all of your other parts like springs, bushings etc. After that can also look to ECS Tuning at the link below for a no brainer conversion with the parts mentioned or goto their Stage III kit like mine which gives you a 2 peice crossdrilled rotor and believe me it stops now. Those are 933TT Big Reds in the picture. Very nice stuff and bolts right up. You will have to change wheels BTW

Default For cheaper $$$ he could use the TT calipers....(4x5x5) Mike D has those setups.

But for the extra $$$ spent...nothing beats the Porsche BBK.
Round $1,000.

Getting cheaper as prices fall. But may have found an even cheaper P Car BBK by tweeking RS2 carriers along with true monoblock Boxster S/996 calipers, on UrS hubs. Will know from machine shop soon. Javad now has the carriers for $275 or so, there for 1/2 the package is done. The nice thing is that very lightly used calipers are avail everywhere for short $'s as the P car crowd upgrades. I got 5,000 mile examples for $100 @ delivered, with 5,000 mile pads and shims. (Boxster S pads seem way cheaper than 993TT, with Mintex avail for ~$60) All in and done price depends on machine charges but looks to be <$200 there, 312 MM rotors delivered for $110 (PAIR!) Working on project for S car so YMMV on V8 applications!

Default Yes, I've seen quiet a number of your conversation with the //scar crowd.....

......& I have seen Javad's BBK offering.

When I got my 1st P car BBK I got my 993tt calipers from Creasent City Porsche....$600 for the pair, like 4 years ago. I got the Rs2 C brackets from Mr VanGerbig for penney's & got Zimmerman cad coated & slotted D2 A8 323x30 rotors off AW marketplace for $200 shipped from Kali. & I used Earls fitting on a set of SS lines for round $40. Pads & B-fluid was cheap.
I sourced the sound dampers & wear sensors from the dealer for cheap.

When I pieced together my 2nd kit I got used 928GTS calipers from LA Porsche dismantlers for cheap.....& made a copy of the Rs2 bracket from the OE ones I have. B-lines came from paragon this time....& other sources for the other stuff.

I got Alcons now ;-)

What you should do is make up a bracket for UFO'd cars.

Some of those listers just want to fight any ideas of change, one guy fights me just to sound off, so let em figure it out on their own. As for the UFO's I think thats been done, mine on the V are good enough that I wouldn't bother, but sure would if they were G60's trying to haul down 2 tons!
