Default Mounting rally foglights to 200 bumper?

I've got a sweet set of 6" round Bosch Rallye fog lights that I want to mount on the front bumper of my '90 200tq. I'm wondering what the best way to mount these would be - has anyone done this before? The lights are the usual mounting style (nut & bolt hanging vertically below the light).

Any help is much appreciated.

Right, but how do I get my arm inside the bumper to thread on the nuts? That's my main concern.

Easy--two 8mm recessed hex head bolts, take out the blinker lights and pull out on the plastic bumper cover at the wheelwells. Whole assembly slides forward then.

If you're doing this at ground level, a low bench can help, especially with reinstallation.

Default some advice

I found, on my 4K, that mounting the lights THROUGH the bumper cover caused them to shimmy while driving, so I cut out the area the base of the light contacts so the light bolts directly to the rebar and they are much much more stable.

Default Rally Lights mounting

I'm not sure what I did would work on a 5K..

<img src="http://www.frankdekat.com/pics/urq_hella1.jpg">

I wanted something that could take a lot of lights, but be easily installed and removed. I don't want to leave the lights on the car all the time, and didn't want to do any un-reversable changes. (No drilling the bumper).

So.. I made an angle-iron bar that the lights mount onto. Then the angle-iron bar has two tabs welded to it (appearing just above and to the outside of the parking lights) that mount under the bumper mounting bolts.

I've turned the bumper mounting bolts into studs, to make mounting the light bar easier.

The bumper is also missing it's cover, as I didn't want to mess it up. Besides, I didn't think that the light bar would be mounted firmly enough if it had a plastic 'cushion' between it and the bumper proper.

I had some hella 500's on my 5k wagon and I noticed it helped stability to have a little metal strip screwed into the back of the housing and then run behind the light and screw into the one of the slats on the grill. Helped with stability and maintaining proper aiming. You might not need that if you have meaty enough bolts, I guess.
