Mysterious fluid residue on '87 5000CSQT
I just got a 1987 5000 CSQT today. According to the previous owner the car had not run for almost a year however after some coaxing we got her up and running. On the drive home there was some 'smoke' coming either through the underside of the dash or through the vents themselves. It did this with the heater blower running or not. The windshield also seemed to accumulate a layer of greasy residue. The aforementioned smoke definitely had a hint of antifreeze in it. Finally there seemed to be a fluid leaking onto the front passenger footwell area. Is this all the work of anti-freeze? If so does anyone have any ideas where its coming from? the heater core? I would be greatly appreciative of any help, I really like this car and would like to make it something great!

Ive researched this repair to the best of my ability w/o a bentley or haynes. any comments either way on these references? Are there any related repairs I should expect or is it as easy as just replacing the heater core? Much thanks for the help!

Might consider a new blower motor while your at it. http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/troubl...ater_core.html
