Default Neat...

I now have to pull the electrical connection off the warm up regulator to get my car to start when it's sat overnight.

After it's warm, it starts fine for the rest of the day.

Looks like another control pressure problem.

I can't wait to ditch the !@#$% CIS system!

Default Yes, going EFI...

Jim Bush is currently building his, mine and Chris's Mega Squirt units...

Gonna spend this winter collecting all the various needed parts like fuel rails, fuel line, fuel injectors, FPR's, throttle position sensors, etc, etc...

Hopefully by early to mid spring, one of our cars will be converted to EFI.

I'd do it over the winter, but I currently don't have another car to use as a daily driver.

Hopefully by next summer I'll also have it painted and then I can bring it out to Waterfest and you can check it out...

I think that might be one of the one wire sensors right around the hydraulic pump. You can switch them and see if it changes.

You refering to the engine coolant and ISV temp sensors?

I'll switch them around and see what happens. Anythings worth a try at this point...

I feel your pain, my car wouldn't start this morning either, so I was late to work, when it's running she can haul *** all day, but when she sits over night now forget it, I need a full minute of cranking and finally she starts, debating on whats causing it at this time, FPR valve, leakey injectors(doubt it)..... I hate this fuel system in the car.......
Since your already doing research into the system what sorta rough dollar amounts have you come up with, I may be interested in doing the same thing, I have sunk way too much money in the car to get rid of it, but if this continues I will get rid of her.

I am also going to use a Megasquirt variation to control fuel and spark on my 91 200 20V QT. Although it already has the EFI, I prefer to run larger turbos, extra injectors, water injection and closed-loop WB-O2, so tuning on my laptop is good for power and convenience. I just finished my kit and am looking forward to getting it in over the next month.
FYI, Eric Fahlgren is an Audi 5K enthusiast and big into all things DIY including Megasquirt. Check out his site at http://not2fast.wryday.com/audi/maxq/
