I am thinking about getting rid of my 2 front mufflers on my 86 5000CSQ, and replacing them with one big magnaflow muffler in the rear. What do you guys think?

I have a single 3" straight through dynomax muffler on the my turbo quattro and it's not even remotely loud. The turbo quits the exhaust note a lot.

Right now I've got a straight pipe all the way back. I got rid of the cat and muffler. The only thing I left on were the two resonaters. It's nice and loud but it's too loud at idle I mean the pictures on the wall vibrate when the car is idling in the garage! I want something that gives the straight pipe sound but moderately quiet at idle.

Ideas?

That Dynomax looks nearly identical to the Magnaflow I am considering. the dimensions even look the same. I think I am going to do it. I will let you know the results.
