Default New engine mounts and heat shield are in...

man, was the turbo side mount a mess...

Also, had a heat shield put in over the mount since the factory one was missing...

Works nice, no more clunking on/off throttle...

Now the new fun: it appears that I have 2-3 torn CV boots that are going to need to be done soon

Yeeeeaaaahhhh!

You know you would have only had 2 CV's max on your old car :-)

Default Front CV's are easy on a 5ktq...

Here's my recipe for success:
1. Go to the local import auto parts place and get a Lobro or OE equivalent boot kit, about $10 or so.
2. While car is on ground, break loose the axle nut and remove axle nut, loosen lug nuts, then jack up car onto jack stands.
3. Remove wheel, then use a pick to clean out the heads of the triple square bolts holding the shaft to output flange. Or cheat like I do and blast the heads with brake cleaner.
4. Tap the triple square bit into place with a hammer (if it's not all the way in it can round off), then remove all the triple square bolts.
5. Remove the shaft by angling the shaft up on the driver's side, or if on turbo side **** the wheels all the way to one side and remove the CV stub from the hub. If frozen, resist the urge to tap directly on the stub end with a hammer (don't want to gall the threads), get a hardwood block as an insulator and whack merrily away till it pops out.

Optional cheat step: take CV axle and boot kit to local rebuilder and have him remove the outer CV and reboot it for $10. That's what I do.

Re-installation is the reverse of the above.

Good luck!

Default Easy? Hmmm, It took me and...

Scott Miller 6 hours to do the an inner one on my 5000S...

An hour of that was driving around to parts stores looking for a triple square bit...

I promised myself that I'd never so another one
