Default no spark, think its the dizzy...

The 5k quit on me last week, finally got the chance to take a look at it yesterday. There is no spark and the fuel pump works sometimes. Thinking it's the hall sensor? I have 2 extra dizzys but they're both shot (tested them a few months ago). Does anybody have an extra they'd sell?

Thanks

Default i think i got one if no one else can help you out. i gotta look around.

good luck dude. the distributors in these cars seems to be picky sometimes, moving them just a little bit one way or the other can make the difference sometimes.

Default Here we go again.

First check if there is power to the coil. Buy a cheap 12v test light from Wal-Mart or Harbor Freight. Clip one end to a good ground. Turn the ignition key to ON. Now test the coil by touching the terminals on the coil. Does the light come on? You could also buy a cheap Ohm meter which works just as well.

Default Have you pulled codes? The code for an inop Hall sender is 2113.

Default What could be wrong with it?

I have one which is perfectly fine. Spare coil too if you want it. Diagnosing the hall sensor is easy if you follow the procedure.
