oil cooler and lines

oil cooler and lines
On my 89 200q oil cooler lines are still holding up except end of lines to fitting are slowly splitting over last couple of years.I have tighten them with clamps but they won't last forever.Found this 200 on salvage yard that has cooler with lines in great condition, they asking $30 for it which is a steal.I will have to remove them by myself, car has no wheels.
Is there anything tricky about removing cooler with lines?I am guessing that bolts are seized up,probably not the easyest job!
What should i use to flush it all?

Re: oil cooler and lines
did the same thing about a month ago, spray some penetrating oil(PB blast'r is awesome!) where the pipes attatch to the filter housing that way they won't twist once you start to loosen them, i used the same oil cooler because i didn't know what kind of condition the used one was in. probably can use some kerosene or diesel to flush the lines. the cooler is a bit of a pain to remove because of the poor location of the mounting points. 2 bolts with 13mm heads, one towards the top and the other pointing towards the bumper. if the car is sitting on the ground with no wheels you may want to bring a jack to make things easier. one more thing, i didn't have a metric wrench that size for the big nuts on the housing but a 1 1/16 sae wrench worked fine for me. good luck!
