Replacing the engine breather system junction (valve housing) on a 5000
I recently found a tear in the engine breather system junction (or valve housing) on my '86 5000. This was resulting in a major vacuum leak (and all the related problems)and causing my car to stall when idling. This should be an easy fix, but the part (034 103 247B) is now obsolete! I did a temporary fix using duct tape and it works well and has fixed several problems on my car! But I would really like to fix it properly. Does anybody know where to get the OEM part, or have any suggestions for an alternative part? The part is essentially a cross junction of tubing. I may make a trip to the wreckers, but I figure if this part was worn out on my car it probably won't be in much better shape on another car of the same vintage. Any help here would be really appreciated!
Thanks

There are some of those around, still. Put a WTB message on Audifans.com's marketplace. I got one for my wife's 4kq that way. Folks have them stashed. Also try Chris Semple at Force5 (see link).
Before I got it, I taped up the torn one with some of that epoxy tape you activate by stretching it out and letting it adhere to itself. Worked great. I just wanted the real new one.

Chris Semple
