Slow gas guage?

Slow gas guage?
On my lady's 1990 10vtq the gas guage is slow to read when first turned on. I mean really slow, it doesn't read where it actually is for what seems like a few min. I may be exhagerating a bit but I just wondered if you folks experienced the same issue. I never had this problem on my 20v. P.S. who has a parking brake cover, metal cruise clip, and injector cooling shroud?? Thanks, oh yea and happy halloween.

Re: Slow gas guage?
My 5K is like that. When I fill the car up and go to re-start it's probably a few mins till it goes all the way to full but the guage has always been accurate. Sounds like it's fine to me.

Re: It reads correct
it's just annoying when my jetta shoots right up. Oh well I'll just add it to the list of quirks the 200 entails. Now how about the parking break cover...anyone?

Re: gauge and shroud
None of our VAG products (two V8s, two 200q20v, one Jetta diesel) have fuel gauges that show whatever the fuel level is rapidly. My 200q20v sedan fuel gauge needle doesn't stop climbing until I've driven several miles if the tank is nearly full.
There's a 10-valve injector cooling shroud on Audifans.com MARKETPL ACE right now. Better check it out fast, because I understand these no longer are available from Audi.
