Stalling problem

A friend of mine has a 1991 200 turbo that sometimes stalls as he is slowing down or idling. After stalling, it starts right back up again with no problem. Any idea what might be wrong?

check to make sure the idle switch located on the under side of the throttle body is operating correctly

if it's the 20valve might be the bypass valve.
