still overheating :(
Ran the car with the cap off today until the coolant level started to rise, the coolant was a little foamy, but not a lot of air, this can't be good.
Second, the fans weren't kicking on, they didn't come on until I shut the car off when it overheated.
also my turn signals don't work, the fuse is OK but no signals, all the lights are fine, healights, parking lights, they all work.
Not sure if it's related to my fan problem or not.

radiator is new, +\- 4 months
the bottom is hot, the lower radiator hose was hot, so it seems that the stat is opening now, I didn't think it was before. It's a new stat.
I have a lower temp fan switch, but not the adapter I need to make it work. Maybe I can just jumper the fan to high speed and test it that way to see if it's just a fan problem?

Rig the fans to run all time
and check to see if it over heats. If pressure builds up too high, then you might have a blown HG. Also, check connector under the steering wheel. I just worked on a Jetta and had the same prob. here it came disconnected slightly when working on a starter sol. problem and bumped it when running a wire from the ig sw.

tried to rig the fans, nothing
I tried to connect the outer 2 pins on the plug, then the center to each, nothing. Fan doesn't even come on with the A/C.
Checked the fuse under the hood, it's OK, is there another one that could be bad?
