Default strut inserts

So the 20v Avant is back on the road after a dormant winter and the ride is a little rough up front. I'm thinking strut inserts are the thing to do, unfortunately I'm a little naive regarding suspension (among other things). I've got a buddy who can help me swap 'em out, I'm just wondering if anyone has recommendations on which brand to go with, other parts to do at the same time etc. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Default You gonna lower it at the same time?

If so get Koni or Bilstein Sports.

If not and you're just doing the inserts, then Bilstein HD's or Boge Turbo Gas will do fine.

I'd replace the strut mounts, dust covers, etc...

If you're lowering the car you should do the strut bearings since you'll have to remove the whole suspension anyways.

Default I love the sig. Steve

No, I'm not lowering it, just improving the ride a little.
