Default t44 stress crack on windshield?

I'm pretty sure I've never read anything about this so I think I know the answer but I will ask anyway.

After following the Audi community for nearly 10 years I've never read about windsheild stress cracks in the lower passenger side. My car has a crack that seems to be starting from inside the car. There are no impact marks on the glass on the outside but there appears to be a tiny chunk missing from the inside on one spot. The crack is roughly 4 inches long in the black part of the windshield. I only noticed the crack when I was washing the car.

My car has the stress crack in the web of metal under the hood (on the same side) and I ran the Benz brace for about 8 months.

Default This hapened to me....

the hood was mis-aligned and when it closed the one corner would actually slide farther up toward the windshield, the scissor hinge was cracked, which cause this mis-alignment. Needless to say it must have put pressure near the the metal corner at the bottom of the windshield and cracked it. I replaced the hinge and windshield and all was good.
