Default I think if you had the V8 and the 200

the swap wouldn't be that hard. The chassis' are the same. Everything should bolt into the chassis. The tranny is different but the tranny mount will probably bolt to either. Same with the motor. Where the motor mounts bolt in should be the same. The motor mount brackets would be different to accomodate different motors. To safely do the sheet metal seems like a much more complex job to me.

Default Keith Tackett...(RockinV8) did the swap.

The install is very clean..like it belongs there! The only thing I questioned was the use of the turbo 016 trans. He should have used a 200 20v, 87-88 5kq (non turbo), or 100q trans. They have the proper 4:11 gearing. But they kept the 3:89 rear...so still using the 10vt trans was a no brainer. But if Keith swapped out the rear diffy for the V8's 4:11 torsen, & used a 200 20v torsen trans, Curtis...the owner...would feel the torque a bit more. Better crusing combo for the HW's.

But it sure was/is fast!! I got a great big grin stabbing the go pedal :-)
