What's this hose and where does it go on my 200q20v avant?

No, No, where does its loose end attach???? I know the inboard end goes to the battery, which has to be a battery equipped with a vent opening. I need to know where the hanging end goes so that it is vented to the outside atmosphere as intended without hanging where it could become crimped or something.
