I'll keep you posted. I'm supposed to be having a guy take a look at it that said he would do it for around three or four hundred. He said depending on how many bolts were screwed that it shouldn't possibly cost more then four hundred. If he back out on me then I'll be sending you a message. thanks for the offer.

Default Another possible solution?

I saw a machine shop guy do this. He stuck a small round pin in the hole. Welded it to the stud. THen he set a bunch of washers around it to make it stronger then took a little square of metal and made it like a wing-nut. Then he just unscrewed the broken stud out and put a new one in.

Much easier to do if you have the head off. This would be a great opportunity to change your headgasket, lifters, put in a 272 cam, timing belt and water pump.

Now you know why a lot of Audis have scorch marks around the wheel bolt openings.
