What sort of clamp fastens boot ends to steering rack?
It looks like I'll replace the boot on my (otherwise fine) steering rack. (Apparently this job is possible without disturbing the hoses.) I wanna get my ducks in a row before beginning the job. The clamps on my rack's boot ends look like they're crimped in a manner similar to CV joint boots -- and I have the crimping pliers for them. But I'm not sure. Anyone here with BTDT?

Don't complicate your life over this, the boots are there to keep dust and water out, get a simple pair of plastic tie wraps and snug them up, i've had them on my rack for more than 2 years, no problem...
