1988 B3 90 Quattro engine swap ideas

Looking to get a new engine into my 90, are there any build threads you know of?

Any Ideas what to put in there, budget isn't small but not looking to spend a fortune and considering using this car to do my first swap myself so the easier the better.

There are lots of well documented swaps on Motorgeek and Project Pad. Swaps like 10v turbos, AAN, 3B, 1.8t, 2.7tt, VR6, v8's, etc. The 3B swap seems to be the easiest and most popular, but finding a donor is getting harder. Spend some time searching through the old build threads and you can learn a lot.
