Default 1990 CQ, 157k, $5500/bo --- thoughts?

I am seriously considering selling my '95 90Q for an older coupe. What do you think about this ad I saw (besides the crazy $8k comment)?
-------
AUDI 90 QUATTRO Coupe, 1990, black/tan leather, moonroof, pwr everything, A/C, cruise, alarm, alloys, studded snows, no rust, 157K mi. New brakes, new stereo and 4 speakers, just inspected. Thule roof rack. Retails for $8000, sell for $5500/bo.

bought mine for $4,000, he wanted $4500, make sure the oil has been changed regularly. Make sure the windows work good, regulators are $400+... good luck.

Default just drove it...

car bounces a lot when you push on the corners and rolls a lot on a tight turn. also, car misfires & gets bogged down when you gun it. a tune up might fix that but i think i'll pass - especially for $5k.

I bought mine - a 1991 with 103K for $5200. Engine is in great shape (i.e. no tune-up necessary.) You can do better for $5500, but when you do, you'll be hooked. I wish I had this car when I lived up in your neck of the woods.

Do you know The Outdoor Gear Exchange in Burlington?

Default Where are you looking at this car? I've seen afew around Btv but I thought

I was the only one with a thule rack... Is this the one I've seen on Susie Wilson Rd? If your still interested in this car. I highly highly recommend bringing it to a good mechanic for a check up... When I bought mine I was totaly green in the way of Audi and if I knew a bit more I probably wouldn't be driving my car now. As you know there are a ton of **** that is starting to crap out on these cars. I think the electronics are worse then the Lucas electrics in my dads Jag.. Good pts are the motors do seem very reliable as to the drive trains. The brakes suck and it really could do with more ponys under the hood. I'm not trying to scare you but just be warry..
