1991 Quattro 90 HELP!
Hello for the first time members of Audiworld! I have an issue which I need help sorting out. I'm looking at buying a 1991 Quattro 90, the only problem is it has problems starting. From talking to the seller he has described the problem as to start the car you have to first physically prime the fuel lines, turn the key to on, then start it. And event then you must repeat the process until the engine gets up to temperature. He has already replaced the fuel pump and filter. Has anyone else had/found a solution for this problem and could point me in the right way?

Mine has an issue where it won't idle on its own until it gets up to temperature, but I don't have to "prime the fuel lines" or repeat any starting procedure. I just start it, keep my foot on the throttle, and wait for the coolant gauge to come up a bit, and then it runs. It leans out at high RPM under load though, so ask about that too. I currently suspect the MAF sensor on mine, but I don't know if that would help you.
