4500 miles since my last oil change...
The 10W-30 Mobil 1 still looks brand new when I pull the dipstick. No sludge or nasty brown color.
I've only had to add about 2 quarts during this period. (Which is great for me considering its 10WW-30). Audi says 1 quart every 1000 miles is normal, so I'm doing pretty well!

Anyone ever tried this stuff?
I forget where I was reading it, but there's a whole forum devoted to it somewhere.

http://www.auto-rx.com/index.html</a

I'd go every 5k with the CQ, I think its been over a year since I did the 5kq's. A6Aq gets the 7.5k
interval. Cabrio, well, its in CO, so I don't have much control over it anymore unfortunately. Probably somewhere between 3k and 15k interval?
The 5kq's oil looks the same now as it did before, smells the same too (I think I started using partial synthetic in it?). Only oil it uses, as far as I can tell, is out the cam seal, front crank seal, and oil sump gasket. That gasket really needs to be changed...
Just check the level periodically, and change it when it starts to break down significantly.
