Default Anyone think a 2.5" cat back is too big for a V6 90?

I've had mine on for about a year ... feels great above 2700 rpms, but lacking power below this. It's also really loud at low rpms. Do you think if I got 2 1/4" pipe it would be any better? Would adding a straight through center muffler help? I'm open to suggestions. I would like to keep the scorpion rear muffler w/ DTMs that I have on there now. THANKS!

Default You've seen my system, right?

<center><img src="http://home.ec.rr.com/miktip/Frontsec2.jpg"></center><p>Took me several attempts to get it right!

Went through several mufflers, piping configurationms, etc.

The current system I like alot. "All-around" performance is excellant!

What cats &amp; mufflers are you running?<ul><li><a href="http://home.ec.rr.com/miktip/page2.htm">http://home.ec.rr.com/miktip/page2.htm</a</li></ul>

Default I'm running....

1. stock cats
2. a center resonator (not sure what its called exactly ... not a muffler, but a little wider than the 2.5" pipe and about 10" long)
3. scorpion rear muffler w/ DTM tips

Yeah, I've seen yours. It looks really good. Where did you get the 6" round magnaflow? Does that quiet it down much? I definitely need something quieter. THANKS!

Also...where did you get the Y piece?

Default Pipes!

The 6" round I picked up at a local auto-parts place! I was shocked, the could get Magnaflow mufflers in 2-3 days! Advance Auto parts? You have one near you? I went with the 6" because it was the largest diameter I could fit in there! It barely fits too! Like 1/2" on either side!

The Y piece I found on Ebay. Picked it up rather inexpensively! ;o) Magnaflow makes'm but their expensive from them or their dealers! Your better off trying to find one like on Ebay.

I've been contemplating the 4" round.

Default One more question....what is the length of your 6" round muffler...

I see they have a bunch of different lengths. Thanks.

Default Something like yours! The way the previous shop did mine stinks!

They welded the two pipes off the cats into a single pipe right where it meets with the resonator they put in. I don't like it at all. I saw the Y piece that looks exactly like yours on magnaflows site. I plan on putting that in along with a 6" round.

BTW...what is the diameter of the stock exhaust pipe?
