Anyway to shorten a trunk strut?
I ordered a replacement from a Worldpac site, it is branded 'Meistersatz', however, it is 1-2mm too long, and thus won't attach to the mounts. Any way to compress the strut a bit?

Kinda...
Try popping one end onto a mount and place other against other mounting point and then pull the trunk down...it should compress a bit and then push the lid back and pop the other end on the second mount....never really had that problem so don't know if it'll work, but it's worth a try.

I am thinking this is a project that doesnt need done right away so..
Take the time to ship it back and get the proper unit. As long as it was their mistake they should pay for the shipping back and charge you no more to get the new unit shipped. Also, this post wasnt meant to go under CQ's post.
