Audi 100 2.3 starting problem
Hi
Before you refer me to the A6/100 post, my engine is more common to the Audi 90 and coupe.
I have a 2.3 litre engine with AAR engine code. I belive it has a K-Jetronic (mechanical fuel injection) system.
The car has a starting problem. It starts up but dies immediately. I believe it starts up because the fuel from the cold start valve gets to the engine. However, there is obviously no fuel coming into the cylinders.
I have changed the fuel distributor (metering head) twice, but with little luck. After the first change, the car managed 200 miles before dying again. The symptoms have remained the same as before the first time I changed the metering head - start the engine, sounds like it will run, but fails to hold itself.
Does anyone know what is going on?
I have checked that there is spark and that there is fuel coming out of the fuel filter.
