this is the first time i have ever used this site and not too sure how it all works, i have just bought a 93 2.3 cabriolet and all has been fine, i put the roof down yesterday as i was investigating an annoyin noise. now the release nutton to put the roof away has stopped working. i used an allen key to put it away but still today it does not work, any ideas??? any help much appriciated

some pointers where to look for a problem. i have tried searching but cannot find exactly what i need, does anyone know exactly where the wires go, th button its self is live but when i push it the back wont pop up, it was working fine!!

The handbrake has to be on, the brake light bulbs have to work, the bootlid has to be shut, the doors have to be shut, the wiring has to be OK in the boot for the controller to know all this is working..

Check the bulbs
Check the bootlid wiring on the left side

It's not as simple as just the switch..

thank you i will look into these, i did put a new boot stop rubber in on sat so maybe there is an interlock or something

mine is manual hood though and the release button is in the door shut???
