Best place to put a hole in the firewall

Default Best place to put a hole in the firewall

i'm gunna be running either 4 or 2 gauge power wire for my stereo system and i need to know where a convienient and easy place is to drill.

You should use existing holes. Should be several available!

Default I ran 4 gauge through an existing hole.

In both of the Audi's I've had I have been able to run all of my wires through an existing hole in the firewall. The whole I used is a little hard to get to, but the wires come out near the brake pedal and are real easy to run from there.

Default A few weeks ago I asked that very same question....

I used a free hole just behind my abs unit. In the original pics that I posted (below) I high lighted one such free grommet, but I actually used the larger one below. It's just perfect for 4 gauge cable and in my car it came out right near the glove compartment and it was then very <i>simple</i> but tidy to feed into the wire loom, then to the boot.

Default If its an auto, run it through the hole for the clutch master cyl. or.....
