Default Brake light Fault or Serious Problem?

I recently redid the entire brake system on my 80 (because I am preparing it for a very special project) and the brake light started flashing a week or so after I completed the job. THe braking feels significantly better than stock, but the light remains flashing. I would assume that this check system can only detect if the fluid is low. Am I correct in my assumptions or could it be something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On a 4-cyl 80? Might just be the level sensor in the reservoir going bad...
