brakes won't stop squeeking..any quick fixes

lube
the parts where the pad backing contacts the caliper carrier and caliper piston. DO NOT put any on the brake pad face or brake disc. Use caliper slide lube. This is too much lube, but you get the idea.

Yes, and it does work....
In theory, pads will vibrate inbetween the caliper ever so slightly, creating harmonics that go through the calpier and rotor when you are lightly on the pedal. Think of the rotor like a big "bell". The lube works like putting oil on a squeaky hinge, only it's silicone based and won't dry out. My Hawk HPS pads on my S4, w/993 big reds squalled like a angry Banshee for two months after putting them on - I got fed up and took them off and used some of the silicone grease I always used just for lubing the slides - I haven't had a single squeak since then. I used to use the 3M tack spray on the backside of the pad, but came to find out that all that stuff does is bond the pad to the piston of the caliper, then both the piston AND the pad vibrate. The grease works better.
