Default Can you convert FWD to Quattro?
i'm buying a new engine and possibly a new tranmissionfor my 1993 90CS. The one i have now is Automatic FWD, and i want to convert the car to Manual quattro. I just need to know if this can be done and what i'll need to do it. thanks. i'm willing to go to just about any length to do it.

Default Buy a quattro car...Way too much stuff to change in a FWD Auto car to get AWD
floor pans, gas tank, subframes, waaaay lots of work.

is it possible to just change it to a manual from an automatic?

Default Yes, and many have done so before, not the hardest to do.
But if you really want to spend the effort and the money(lots of money) I am sure you can convert to Quattro.
