climate control unit conversion...(more)
I have a 94 90S with the manual climate control unit and I am tired of the ***** striping, it makes it difficult to switch between vents. So I was wondering if any one had converted to an automatic unit and what that would entail in terms of parts. Is it even possible? Thank you much!

Possible to do, but you'd have to R&R the entire dash.!

I wonder if the whole shabang fits in a Passat?
Something some of us Passater's in the Vortex have dreamed for, a rare option called Climatronic. ETKA might prove part numbers to be similar.
Either way it is a very extensive job, as there also are several temp sensors located in the dash that work with the auto unit.
