That was a rules issue. All motors have to be 4.0L, and all chassis have to be RWD. Chose the TT cause its small and light compared to other Audi's (besides the A3/S3).

Lots of people refer to the TT and the A4 as "Not true Audis". Fact is, without them Audi probably would have jumped ship in the states a long time ago.
