Well..not really...
torx bolts you are refering to are holding the gauge faces in place, what I am asking is how to pry the glass off the gauge itself to get to those 2 little bolts. by the way th eones on typ89 are flat head style. get it?

Take a look at what I got.
Could be different. The last time I saw the back of my stock gauges, it was when I put in my short shift kit, a long time ago.

If you can't tell, it has one piece of plastic, not glass, over all the faces.

Thats totaly different
these are all separate units, they bolt to a frame in a back and the the wood trim goes on top. Each gauge is separate unit with a glass on top that is "sealed" to the unit itself...i don't feel like taking pic now but it doesn't matter, you can't really help anyways.

I pried the bezels off (the metal SHOULD wrap around the plastic, which you can pry outward from the plastic), then the plastic(?) lens falls out. I'll look to see if I still have the directions (they were in an email)...Its been years, so who knows if I still do or not?

from the "way back machine"...
Part numbers for the faces I have, courtesy of a certain AW'er and 20v'er:
"I only have the 1999 D&W, but the 220 kph faces are Nr 273318 the 260 kph are Nr 274718"
Couldn't find the instructions unfortunately...
