Default Driveing with rear differential locked

I'm still having handling issues in snow & slush. I've never even tried driving with the rear differential locked. Worh a try? What do I need to know?

Rear diff will unlock once you get to 15 mph. It is only for getting you out of sticky situations.

So, it handled fine before the rear wheel bearing replacement. What is it about replacing the bearings that relates to alignment?

only if the rear bearings were WAY gone.

you can rig your d=rear diff to stay on 24/7, but not recommended on anything but the most snow covered roads...dry roads are bad if it is locked (corners)

even on snow covered roads, it is not going to do much but allow you do drive like a mad man and kick the rear end out around corners, Get CAA first

I drive with it on when the roads are snow covered, it helps to to initiate oversteer (much better than understeer) and it disables the ABS (I don't have ABS kill switch on mine) which I hate on snow/ice.
Just disable the speed signal to the controller and make sure you are comfortable drifting the car (keep power on).

BTW depending on what they took apart to do the rear wheel bearing they might have changed alignment specs BTDT myself.

I've run 1st gen locked up in all conditions, dry, wet, ice, snow. I've run it locked upwards of 100mph. Never had issues. 2nd gen, should be the same way (same rear diff in 85-87 4kq and 88-92 80/90Q's). I never modified my diff lock wiring to allow it to be locked at all speeds, but I probably will before I put the car back on the road.
