so hard it's rediculous. They practically give themselves whiplash their necks snap around so quick when I go by. It's not cool at all!!!

I just got pulled over for doing 35 in a 25 and not stopping for 2 pedestrians that were walking parallel to the road and turned to cross just as I was starting to pass them. I would have had to slam my brakes and make a panic stop to stop for these two. It's not like I almost hit them or anything. They were on the sidewalk and turned to cross the street just as I was going by. WTF!!! F-ing cali laws. I knew the cop was behind me because I saw him turn around when I passed him going the other direction. When he turned around and I knew it was over with right then. He had already decided he was pulling me over for something. He was just itching to get me so he followed me for a while and I was playing it safe going 35 like everyone else on the street. It was just a F#$king excuse to pull me over and F with me. Mother F#$ker!!!

I got a verbal warning for 35 in a 25 but cited for not stopping for the pedestrians. What a crock of S#$t!

I can't handle this anymore. Primer color might as well be pull me over red. Actually having driven a red car before I'd say red is not even as bad as primer. So if you guys want to get pulled over A LOT just paint your cars primer color. That's twice in less than a week for me. I'm sure it's the paint. I see sported out A4's and ttS4's around here all the time and they don't seem to get hassled like this.

I'm just going to have to bite the bullet put the paint job on my credit card. Paying it off little by little will actually be cheaper at this rate.

Before you say it's got to be something else, my other car is a lowered black on black GTI 16v with limo tinted windows and black rims. It looks like a total gangsta car and I never get pulled over. I'm in my 30's and haven't recieved a moving violation in 11 years dog nmad ti. Being pulled over twice in one week matches my previous 10+ years total.

At least I should be able to go to traffic school and get it written off but I'll still have to pay a fine though.

So maybe in a week or so I'll be able to post some pics of the car painted. I can't live with getting hassled like this.

something..or maybe hopin to catch an unpainted car assuming ur uninusured, no license,DUI, etc etc...char gray- good color choice, u get any quotes yet on complete paint job?? how old is that primer? im guessing alot of shops are gonna tell u that to do it proper and so they can guarantee their work that they are gonna have to reprime it...and if that primer is more then a few weeks old and been sittin in the sun that it might not be a bad idea..auto refinishing used to be my proffesion and we had to do that several times, customers werent usually happy about it, but to guarantee our work it had to be done.

otherwise if ur not concerned about the warranty and just want them to paint ur car "as is" (current primer,any door dings,etc) i would maybe tell them to skip the reprimer as it could save u alot of money and see if theyll just re-wet sand the current primer(600grit) and then seal,color,clear the car.

what kinda prices u been getting? a complete like that for quality work shouldnt be ANY lower then 2,500...all the way up to 6k, assuming theres no custom work/colors...please just promise me ur not takin it to maaco d=]

Primer is over 6 mos old. Although it's been sitting in a portable garage for most of that it will still need to be redone.

There's a couple places in my area that are said to do good paint jobs in the just over $1k range. I might also be able to get a friend of a friend to give me a deal. I'll have to see on that.

It's gotta happen soon though

most likely (they should anyways) include a finish wetsand/polish with that, just double check that they are actually finish polishing it with that price...it would be crazy for shops not to but ive heard of it before..properly it should be done with 1000 grit and then/or 1200 grit.

if uve seen their work and heard a good word about them, then thats a great price, just keep in mind u get what u pay for usually.

Honestly I just need some color on the thing. I really wouldn't even care if it only lasted a couple years before getting a really good job done.

It's mainly to keep the man off my back!!! Getting pulled over for basically nothing twice in a week and having every cop scope me like a hawk sucks *****!!!

Isn't prep work where the $$ is at? Do this yourself (mo[u]lding and such...) and save, maybe?
