Default Followup: rear spacers on FWD. Long, but w pics!

So H&R does not have fwd type 89 or B4's listed on their website under applications. For fwd, you can reference the 20v or 100 fwd applications for the front, but anything with a hub extension will not fit on the rear axle.

However, there is a notation mentioning the part number 040234572 for our application.

It appears to be a 'normal' 20mm spacer (p/n 040234571) with a little extra bored out.

Why go through all this?
Well, I wanted to get rid of these fugly plastic center caps that came with my cheap-0 wheels:

and replace with these beautiful pieces:

...Because they wouldn't fit due to the extruding wheel bearing dust cap in the back.

So this is how the car sits now. 15mm spacers on the front, 20mm in the rear. There's maybe a bit more poke than I'd like (wheels are et38), but the added stability is a bonus.

Are those Audi center caps metal or plastic? If metal you could strip and then polish them...

Actually they're cast aluminum. Good idea!

Default I don't know how close to matching the wheels you could get them...

...but it might spruce things up a bit further. I'd imagine if you thew a coat of clear on them after polishing they might have a finish like the wheels. It was just a thought either way though.

The Audi center caps definitely look better though!
