Default Found my cold start rattle..........

After inspection I found the metal exhaust tube under the EGR thingy rattling in it's fitting. There is two nuts that look like could be tightened but I think the tube is rusting out. Looks like an expensive repair to me. Tough to get at. For now I have used bailing wire to secure it and the rattle is gone. The noise sounded like a set of keys in a blender and could be heard on the sidewalk.

If you are looking at the engine with the plastic V6 cover off, the component is right behind the spark plug hole closest to the firewall on the right. Looks like a vaccum diaphram with 2 vaccum hoses coming off of it. The tube comes out of the bottom and heads down to near the 02 sensor. No picture yet but here is a groovy diagram...

I am not sure about the firing order of those 6 spark plugs but you get the point.

I will snap a pic soon
