Front of Engine Oil Leak after Timing Belt Change
Was wondering if anyone had this happen after doing a timing belt on a 7A 20v and figure out why. I've replaced the obvious crank seal, but still getting leaking from behind the timing cover.
Other thoughts are high crank case pressure or high oil pressure. I did pull the intake works ahead of the throttle body and clean all of that up, so there's a possibility I messed up something there too. Just trying to get input from those familiar with the cars.
Heading out to check out the crankcase breathing system before tearing the timing cover off for a third time.

Cam radial seal? Valve cover seal? Oil pump gasket? Did you nick/tear the crank radial seal? If you slid it on the crank snout w/out taping over the keyway, it is very likely you cut the seal, which would cause a leak.

Turned out to be the oil pump bolts that go through the idler and the rear timing cover. I pulled them and didn't apply thread seal when I reassembled everything. Didn't see it mentioned in the Bentley or any of the how to's I read, so don't feel dumb for missing it. Did find it vaguely mentioned when I was searching google for anything to help me out and when I tore the front end done for the third time it was pretty obvious. Hasn't leaked a drop yet.
