Got my daughters car back yesterday - they said the car wil need rear brakes
Are the OEM ones OK? I don't see a need to change from that unless there is some real overriding issue.
Also, have not had a chance to look up in the manual - are they any different or harder to install than the normal A4 rears?
Also, family will now switch to Texaco gas.

Rears are pretty easy...
The rear caliper piston needs to be rotated and pushed to make it go back in.
Do you need to replace the rotors as well or just the pads?

Some folks here like Hawk, I like the PBRs I have...
...also, if you need rotors, let me know, I know where you can get some Brembos (non-drilled) for cheaper than OE online. And cross-drilled for about the same price as OE online.
